Education History Museum is preserved a single copy of the book of Romanian language that tried to publish in Tsarist times a teacher Bessarabian John Donchev. He made a desperate attempt in 1865 to gain Tsarina Maria Alexandrovna to consent to the introduction of Romanian language in schools in Bessarabia. But he did not receive any response. In addition, he ran his own fortune, which he spent to Romanian-language book publishing, and was excluded from the education system by the Russian imperial authorities, says curator Maria Titiuhin. His book was miraculously preserved in Moscow and brought to the museum by the writer Ion Druţă.
