Two years ago, my brother and I were stuck in my grandmother's village, a place that didn't have at that time a stable internet connection or any cool devices. Which, unfortunately, made us really bored. So, one day, we woke up early, left our granny's small house, and headed towards the beautiful forest that was outside the village.

When we finally entered the forest, we were completely mesmerized by the place. Unlikely any other forests I had seen before, this one wasn't deep, dark, with creepy spiders wandering around, but bright and full of beautiful flowers. Stolen by the beauty of the place, we started to explore it: first, we got near a river and even made an attempt to fish using a stick and my brother's USB cable, after which i tried to catch a wonderful red butterfly, that had some dark blue dots spattered on its fragile wings. Without even thinking, I ran after that butterfly. My brother followed me. We might have run for miles, but we didn't care. Right then, we were too happy to think about anything.

Yet, after some time, the butterfly simply disappeared from our field of view. In that moment, we both realised that the forest wasn't bright and friendly anymore, but dark and cold. We were lost in the woods. I was so scared, there was no way we could get back to granny. No one knew that we were here. After a while, I sat on a musty tree log and cried. "Rob, what are we going to do, we are lost" I told my brother.

Suddenly, the body of animal appears between the trees. At first, I thought it was a wolf; a scream escaped my dry lips. The animal was heading towards us. "That's it, sis. That's how we'll end" wispered my brother.

But, as the wild creature got closer to our frightened bodies, we realized that it wasn't a wolf nor any dangerous being, but a young, beautiful doe. Her dark eyes were full of joy, and they seemed to shine in the darkness of the forest. Her chestnut brown fur was interrupted in some places by small, white dots. I smiled towards Rob. His eyes met mine as he told me "Sis... I think she wants to show us something". Rob was right: the doe turned around, walking away from us, while her head was still looking at my brother and I. We decided to follow her, because, after all, she was the only hope we had.

We walked for a long time, after which we finally got out of the forest. I gave my brother a big hug. But, after we broke apart from it, the doe was gone. "Weird, so weird. We'll have to tell granny about that". "You're right, bro. I wonder what she cooked for breakfast." I replied to him as we were entering the village.
