A long time ago there lived a young man, Perseus.
The local king wanted to marry his mother, but Perseus didn't like the king.
The king asked him to bing him Medusa's head.
She was known for turning people into stone with just a glance and for having snakes instead of hair.
Because the task was very hard he asked for gods' help.
Athena gave him a shield and Hermes gave him an invisibility helmet and fast sandals.
He used the shield as a mirror and managed to cut her head and flee in a hurry.
He stored the head in a bag.
When he came back he presented the king with the bag. When he pulled the head, all the people who glanced into her eyes turned into stone.
This way he managed to stop the marriage between the king and his mother.
