Solidarity is the unity of a group or class that produces or is based on common interests, goals and standards. Refers to the bonds of society, uniting people together. What forms the basis of solidarity among different companies. In simple societies, it may be based primarily on kinship and shared values. In a more complex society, there are various theories as to what contributes to the sense of social solidarity. Types of social solidarity correlate with the types of companies. Although individuals performing different tasks and often have different values and interests, order and solidarity of society depends on trust between them to their specific accomplish the activities. The organic term in this context, refers to the interdependence of the parts. Thus, social solidarity is maintained in complex societies the interdependence of its parts, such as farmers produce food to feed the factory workers which in turn produce tractors, allowing farmers to produce food in the first place. Finally we can build a definition of solidarity: social cohesion is based on the dependence of individuals to each other in the advanced societies.
