I have really enjoyed reading the book but now I have to write an essay about it: to what extent is ''Of Mice and Men'' an optimistic story?! I have been staying in front of an empty page for hours but I haven't made any progress. I have written the first sentence five times but I can't think of anything to say. I have been begging my brainy sister her to help me all the week. I hadn't even offered to do her chores for a week! One day she says she will help, the next day she says she won't. I have seriously thought of offering to lend her my blades, and you know they are my most precious possession. So, is ''Of Mice and Men'' optimistic: I don't know - I'm certainly not!
